Released: 16th February 2009
Doman & Gooding’s ‘Runnin’ is the first single for Positiva from dance music’s newest pairing, and precedes an album due in 2009.
Set for release in March 8th 2009, ‘Runnin’ received its debut play five months earlier from Radio 1’s Pete Tong; further plays have followed from Radio 1 and Kiss. Hotly tipped as one of the biggest dance records for early 2009, the track has already hit No.1 on Beatport, courtesy of the Mark Knight & Funkagenda remix.
With releases including ‘Dig This’ (the second track on their label, Heaven Recordings), and their remake of the 808 State classic, 'Pacific State', James Doman and Pete Gooding have earned the support of Carl Cox, Dubfire, Groove Armada, Sander Kleinenberg, Steve Lawler, Steve Angello, and others. Doman & Gooding is their crossover guise, and together they’re serving up some of the best big room dance music of the past few years.
Renowned DJs and producers in their own right, Doman & Gooding both have successful solo careers under their belts. James is Canada’s hottest house DJ, and has forged a successful main room residency at Toronto’s world famous club, Circa, playing alongside international jocks including David Guetta, Danny Tenaglia, Tiesto, Bob Sinclar, and more. His productions, including ‘Everything’s Gonna Be Alright’, have set the world’s dancefloors alight this year.
Alongside his projects with Doman, Pete is one half of No Logo on Urbantorque. In the past year he’s played Glastonbury, Ministry Of Sound, Renaissance, The Gallery, Mission, and Yello, to name but a few. His 10 year residency at Ibiza’s Café Mambo brought him European fame, now one of the most popular DJs on the international circuit, so far this year he’s toured China, South Korea, Egypt, Norway, Canada, Denmark, Serbia, Sweden, Brazil, Greece and beyond – 50 countries in total. His Global Network radio show is now syndicated worldwide, and he’s started his own night at Matter, where he’ll be regularly hosting Room 2 - expect everything from alt rock to nu disco, deep house, and techno.
