Positiva and Defected Records have announced a joint-venture deal for the release of Axwell & Bob Sinclar feat. Ron Caroll’s ‘What A Wonderful World’.

Tipped as one of the biggest crossover dance records of 2008, ‘What A Wonderful World’ will receive a full release on 29th September (digital release 22nd September) on Positiva/Defected.

‘What A Wonderful World’ has already received considerable radio support from Radio 1’s Zane Lowe (‘Hottest Record In The World’) and Pete Tong (‘Essential New Tune’), Galaxy’s Sarah Main, and more, as well as club exposure from some of dance music’s biggest names.

This is the first time Positiva and Defected have joined forces, mirroring the collaboration between both labels’ respective stars; Axwell has given Positiva chart hits including ‘Watch The Sunrise’ and 2007’s ‘I Found U’, while Frenchman Bob Sinclar has spent 8 highly successful years with Defected, enjoying Top 10 success with hits including ‘World Hold On’ and ‘Rock This Party’.

The joint Swedish and French production comes with vocals courtesy of American singer/songwriter, Ron Carroll, responsible for house music staples such as ‘My Love’ and ‘Lucky Star’, and the man who wrote the lyrics to Barbara Tucker’s ‘Get Lifted’, a hit for Positiva in the mid-1990’s.

Axwell's 'I Found U' is fast becoming the soundtrack to the summer of love '07. It's been both Zane Lowe's Hottest 'Record In The World' and an Essential New Tune on Radio 1, a top flyer in the Buzz and Cool Cuts from a limited promo mailout, and DJs such as Zane Lowe, Jo Whiley, Pete Tong, Annie Mac, Trophy Twins, The Shapeshifters, Bob Sinclar, David Guetta, and many more, are all in support.

'I Found U' twists rave pianos, soul and electro into an all-dancefloor-conquering smash. Such genre-defying dexterity could only come from one of the world's leading producers, Axwell, and follows the young Swede's last hit single for Positiva, the reggae-tinged houser, 'Watch The Sunrise'.

Axwell's 2007 has already been what journalists like to call a whirlwind year - in addition to a bevy of underground nuggets, he's remixed the likes of Bob Sinclar ('I Feel For You') and Faithless ('Music Matters'), following previous high-profile re-stylings for Madonna ('Jump'), Hard Fi ('Hard To Beat'), Nelly Furtado ('Promiscuous'), Usher, N.E.R.D, Moby, and many more.

Add into the equation a DJ itinerary that reads like a pilot's monthly flight schedule – Miami, Paris, Barcelona, Moscow, Ibiza and such far-flung locations as Australia, South Africa, and even Morocco and Algeria - and the facts speak for themselves – Axwell is going places in every sense.

'I Found U' features Finnish-based US singer, Max'C, who provides a superlative soul vocal. Axwell's mixes include the lead Remode mix (also the radio edit version), and a classic soul house mix for more traditional floors.
